Kandla, India – The 5th Depot Has Officially Started Operations

KERRY-ITS TERMINAL (KANDLA) PRIVATE LIMITED (Started Operations Officially in March 2012)

Kerry-ITS continues its expansion in India, opening its 5th ISO tank depot in Kandla, which has officially started its operations on 1 March 2012.

Kerry-ITS Terminal (Kandla) Private Limited is conveniently located within 8km from the nearest Kandla Port in the state of Gujarat, providing direct ocean access to international markets.The 11,200 sq.m facility will focus on providing a broad range of ISO tank cleaning and repair services for the tank lessors, operators and end-users.

“Demand is growing from our customers around the Asia Pacific Regions for a broad range of ISO tank maintenance services and this new facility demonstrates our commitment in meeting such demand.” said Mr. Joab Ang, General Manager, India.

Kerry-ITS has planned to bring in the latest Robogrind semi-automation interior tank shell corrosion treatment technology, which has been effectively used by its Singapore Regional Head Office, to this new depot as well. Every facility has been built up by internal expertises from Singapore accordingly to the international standard. Kerry-ITS (Kandla) is planned to be audited by @TCO as the Approved Cleaning Station and Depot this year, after Kerry-ITS (Singapore) and Kerry-ITS (Thailand) have received the accreditation in 2011 and 2012 respectively.
